Project aim¶
The aim is to bring a well-integrated, usable and friendly desktop shell to end-user.
Desktop shell¶
A shell for all LeechCraft plugins and features as well as non-native applications. So, LeechCraft's tabs would be like desktops in KDE/Gnome, and non-native applications would be hosted in them.
Social integration¶
With the plugin and communication platform LeechCraft already offers it's easy to support and integrate with Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and other social sites.
Media content¶
With LeechCraft modular architecture it's easy to implement new ways for obtaining media content, which would fit nicely into current plugin system.
User would be able to find content he wants by keywords, not having to deal with torrents and such things. And if there are plugins for, say, BitTorrent and DirectConnect, user would be able to download from both transparently and even watch the video stream live.
Solid platform¶
Thanks to the modular architecture once again, it's easy to combine plugins in different ways and get almost different applications as a result. You can make LeechCraft a BitTorrent-only client, a DC-client, a web browser with a media player and much more.
